Windows 10 version 1809, often called the (codenamed "Redstone 5"), was the sixth major update for Windows 10. Initially announced with great fanfare, its rollout was famously paused shortly after launch on October 6, 2018, due to a critical bug causing the loss of users' personal files. After Microsoft rectified these issues, the update was re-released to the public on November 13, 2018.

During installation, you can skip entering a product key. Version 1809 accepts Windows 10 Pro keys (digital license will activate automatically if previously activated on that PC).
